HANGING OUT ON A C-130 - tuesday 13 november
Back out at station 2 again today. This afternoon we drove out to one of the ski 130’s and did a familiarisation. It was neat to get back inside. We even pulled a line (hose) interior.
So i've been given this super awesome opportunity to work as a firefighter in Antarctica. I'm on the American base called McMurdo, which is positioned on the Ross Ice Shelf of Antarctica. We are situated 3km away from New Zealand's base- Scott Base.
I'm here for 5 months over the Antarctic summer. We have 24 hours of daylight.
